Spicy squash is a medium-sized salami, its shape is due to the fact that in some areas of Italy, where the climate is hotter and drier, good and correct maturation became difficult; thus human ingenuity circumvented the obstacle by making a crushed salami, smaller diameter better seasoning!
Spicy squash goes well with typical breads from all over Italy, but also enjoys the company of potatoes in a pie or in the oven.
